Bwari Pottery

Bwari Pottery, Nigeria, was built by Stephen Mhya and Michael OBrien. Work started in 1999 and the buildings were complete by May 2000. The style is traditional with heavy palm thatched roofs and arrow-head shaped windows, and the layout was based on that of the Abuja Pottery.

It is fully operational, but not yet working to full capacity. The pottery will provide employment for twenty potters when it reaches maturity.
